What People Say

Most Liked

The burgers at Scotty's are a standout feature, cooked to perfection with options ranging from classic cheeseburgers to more adventurous buffalo varieties. Many visitors rave about the fries, often calling them the best in town, perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. The shakes, especially the huckleberry flavor, receive high praise for their richness and delightful taste. The relaxed, retro atmosphere resonates with diners, adding to the overall experience. The convenience of outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy meals al fresco, a nice touch for family picnics or solo outings.

Additionally, the staff's friendly demeanor enhances the experience, as they help guide first-timers through the extensive menu, making for a welcoming dining journey.

Most Disliked

Despite its charming vibe, some diners express concerns about the pricing, which can feel a bit steep for families seeking a budget-friendly meal. While the burgers are undeniably flavorful, some customers note a greasy texture, which might not suit everyone's palate. The thick milkshakes, while delicious, can be challenging to enjoy with a straw, leading to a more unconventional eating experience with spoons instead.

Moreover, the indoor dining restrictions frustrate some patrons, particularly on hot days or during inclement weather when they would prefer to escape the elements. A few have noticed that outside tables sometimes need cleaning, which can be an inconvenience when arriving for a meal.

This place is a great place to stop for a bite to eat. It’s a little pricey but it it was really good it’s got a really old school feel that I love. The burgers were cooked to perfection as well as the fries. I’ve been here in the park and got milkshakes that were really good too. The drive in part is more for parking, you don’t order or receive your food there, you have to go in but it does give you I nice place to sit in your car and eat or pick one of their picnicking benches sitting there to eat. Overall it’s one of the better burger places in town.

We were on a family road trip and driving thru town when we saw a couple camels out front, yes they were real camels, the wife said "We need to stop!!" so with a 38' fifth wheel in tow we did a "Right turn Clyde". Once we got over the realization of what we saw, and got photos we decided to give the place shot. Wow, this place is amazing. The burgers were fantastic, and without a doubt, the best fries I have ever had, sorry 5 Guys. Topped it off with a delicious milkshake. So glad we saw the camels otherwise we probably would have never noticed this gem.

Two burgers w/ fries, two medium shakes, and a two dollar tip cost me $50.40CDN. I've been going here since I was a kid on pretty much an annual trip to Idaho. It's changed - It used to be a super good deal so that your whole family could get combo meals and shakes and not break the bank. However it doesn't seem to be that way anymore. The prices are on mostly par with other establishments. The food is pretty delicious though. The burger choices are extremely exhaustive. We took our time evaluating the menu and for that we thank the staff for the patience. It is an impressive menu. I had the Rodeo burger, minus the onion ring. The burgers we had were quite greasy but they tasted delightful. The fries were pretty good but I'm not a fan of french fries that have the outside/skin on them. The milkshakes were too thick and chunky with the mix-ins to be sucked through straws so we ate them like a blizzard (spoons provided) They were out of ketchup so we got extra fry sauce. They deter you from staying indoors where the air conditioning is lol there are signs posted that you're not allowed to eat inside. Tables outside we're all dirty so we cleaned our own table. When we were 70% done our meal somebody came outside and cleaned the other tables and checked on the table next to us asking if we needed anything else. We got nothing. We were chopped liver. I haven't found bathroom there yet, but I’m sure they have one. And because my grandma asked: no, there is no more car hop service.

The employee was great and helped us decide and tell us a bit about the burgers, it was our first time there, and would absolutely go back. Food was fresh and burgers and fries were delicious. If the weather was better there are benches to sit and enjoy your lunch. Highly recommend trying.

Wow this was a find!! I highly recommend the Huckleberry malt and the Jalapeno burger! The food was excellent! Plan on taking it to go unless you want to eat outside. No public restrooms.

Fairly solid burger place. Burgers were good, but not the best small place burgers I've had, but good nevertheless. Onion rings were good as well. The steak fingers were good but different. They are like little battered and deep fried meat sticks or slices of chicken fried steak. Had with ranch but I think country gravy would be ideal for them. They were greasy and on the heavy side, so I would treat them as an order of chicken tenders, and not as a side like fries.
